An ice fishing house is a permanent or semi-permanent house. There are several types of ice fishing houses, which all differ from ice fishing shelters (which are more portable). Permanent ice fishing houses are usually constructed on the ice, or taken from a trailer and slowly slid onto the ice.

Semi-permanent ice fishing houses have their own wheels, which can be adjusted/taken up therefore lowering the house to the ice.

The quality of ice fishing houses varies a lot. Some are so well equipped that you might even forget that you’re on the ice. Sometimes they contain satellite television, kitchens and even a bedroom!

Ice fishing houses get moved every so often to find a better fish-catching point. This isn’t too bad of an idea because fishing when you’re not catching anything can sometimes become boring. It depends on the comfort of your house though obviously.
