Ice Fishing Equipment Needed When With A Group

This article will tell you exactly what you need to go ice fishing! This list is the bare minimum that you'll need to take! You must take everything that's on this list when travelling in a group!

Reels - Micro-spinning reel

Needle nose pliers

Hand warmers - Otherwise you'll freeze up quickly

Bait - fat heads, crappie minnows, wax worms, etc

A 5 gallon bucket - to sit on!

Fishing rods - with a sensitive tip, large guides, some 'backbone'

Line - 4-8 lb test ice-line

A compass - you'll need to know which direction you're walking/have walked

Fishing License - otherwise you won't be allowed to fish

An assortment of split-shot - great for weighting your line and avoiding any potentially line-weakening knots

Proper Identification - to show who you are

Jigs and spoons and hooks...etc. - obviously to attract and catch fish

Fingernail Clipper - to cut a line
